Assistant Coach Jacob Clayton-Summer T&F 2013-2015, Cross Country 2013, Indoor T&F 2014-2016
Jacob Clayton is a student at Northern Illinois University majoring in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. He was a two sport athlete all four years in high school playing football and running track for Plainfield North High School, Plainfield, IL. Jacob's track accomplishments include three years competing at the varsity-level, three years all conference, and two years all state. Jacob has experience coaching middle school as well as high school track athletes in the sprinting events, and he is looking forward to working with your children.
Assistant Coach Nate Dyer-Summer T&F 2013-2014, Indoor T&F 2014
Nate is a graduate of Kaneland High School where he was two sport athlete on the Kaneland Football and Track& Field teams. He has competed in track and field since 7th grade and has qualified for the USA Track & Field JR Olympics several times since 2009. Nate was all conference in shot and disc 2 years in a row and participated in the Illinois state track & field finals as a sophomore in both shot and discus. Nate plans to compete in several throwing field events at the college-level while pursuing a degree in strength and conditioning and exercise science.
Assistant Coach Davoncie Granderson-Summer T&F 2014-2016, Indoor T&F 2016
Davoncie is currently studying Kinesiology/Exercise Science as an undergraduate student at Northern Illinois University. He has been on the Dean's List and he maintains a cumulative GPA over 3.5. His background includes participating in wrestling, track, and cross country while attending Rockford East High School in Rockford, IL. He is honored to have the opportunity to coach your children and he is looking forward to teaching them.
Assistant Coach Curby Marshall-Summer T&F 2014, Cross Country 2014
Curby is a senior at Northern Illinois University. He is majoring in Exercise Science with aspirations of becoming a personal trainer and coach in the future. During high school he played varsity soccer all four years, basketball for two years, and also ran track for two years at Evergreen Park High School in Illinois. He qualified for sectionals his sophomore and junior years on the track team. Along with that, he was an All-Conference athlete and team MVP/Captain three out of his fours years playing high school soccer. He has experience coaching younger athletes in soccer and track, along with helping construct the events.
Assistant Coach Todd Henson-Cross Country 2015
Coach Todd is a fitness enthusiast who not only loves coaching others to be the best they can be, but is also active in endurance and strength training himself. Todd works as a fitness trainer through his ToddFit Sustainable Fitness business in Sycamore, working with clients to improve their health and happiness through strength and endurance training, as well as nutrition. He also works as a strength and conditioning coach at Moose(L)Up Gym, working with student athletes to ensure they are able to withstand the demands of their sport, and achieve their performance goals. In the spring, Todd was a volunteer coach of the Sycamore High School pole vaulters. Coach Todd has completed 4 marathons, and many shorter distance endurance events including obstacle courses and a duathlon. He is currently a NESTA certified personal fitness trainer and a Precision Nutrition Coach - Level 1.
Assistant Coach Claire McAuley-Summer T&F 2013-2015, Indoor T&F 2014
Claire is currently a Graduate Student majoring in Sports Management at Northern Illinois University. Claire has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Exercise Science and was a scholarship athlete on both the Cross Country and Track and Field team at Northern Illinois University. Originally from Scotland, she began running track and cross-country at the age of 12. Claire competed for the Scottish schools junior team in the 300ms event, on two occasions, as a youth athlete. Looking to be a college coach in the future, she spent much of her senior year of high school helping coach the younger athletes on her team.
Assistant Coach Josh Pak-Summer T&F 2014-2015, Indoor T&F 2015
Joshua is an undergraduate student at Northern Illinois University where he is pursuing a major in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. He is also completing a minor in coaching due to his passion for playing and coaching sports. His coaching interests include football, rugby and track and field. Josh competed in the field events of shot-put and discus during his junior and senior year of high school and will be coaching shot put, discus and javelin with the DeKalb County Prairie Runners.
Assistant Coach Dave Wester-Summer T&F 2013-2014, Cross Country 2013-2014
Dave has a long-term relationship with distance running, starting in the 7th grade. He competed in varsity cross country and track through all of high school and college. Dave studied Exercise Physiology at Wheaton College, and coached cross country and track at the college level for 3 years shortly after graduation. His interest in health led to a Masters degree as a Physician Assistant through Midwestern University in Downers Grove. Dave has worked in family practice as a Physician's Assistant for the last 15 years in the Sycamore/Dekalb community, and is currently employed by KishHealth Sysems. Dave is dad with several children involved in the team and has a vested interest in helping the club succeed. Dave believes in the use of sport to model the benefits of acting with respect, discipline and determination.
Assistant Coach Danielle Hill-Summer T&F 2013
Danielle is a graduate student at NIU pursuing her Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She completed her Bachelors degree in Athletic Training at Northwestern College (Orange City, IA), 2012 where she was a member of the Red Raider Track and Field Team. She was a member of the throws crew during her four years at Northwestern College competing in shot, discus, hammer, and javelin. She is currently a National Athletic Training Association Certified Athletic Trainer, and National Strength & Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Assistant Coach Adam Lotito-Summer T&F 2013 and Indoor T&F 2014
Adam will be a senior next year at Northern Illinois University. He transferred to NIU from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO where he spent two years as a volunteer student Assistant Track & Field Coach. During that time the Missouri State Track & Field Team won the Missouri Valley Indoor Conference Championships. Adam maintains a 4.0 cumulative GPA at NIU and is working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. He is currently a volunteer student Assistant Coach and the Team Manager for the NIU Women's Cross Country and Track Teams. Adam specializes in the sprint events, and he plans to pursue a Collegiate level Track & Field coaching position after graduation. Adam was a four year varsity Track and Cross Country athlete in high school; he loves running, and he continually trains in pursuit of accomplishing his running dreams.
Assistant Coach Jody Olive-Cross Country 2013
Coach Olive has been a P.E. teacher for the Indian Creek School District for 20 years. He is a graduate of Western Illinois University with 20 years of coaching experience. He has been the head coach of the Indian Creek Middle School boys and girls track and field team for 14 years, the coach of the Indian Creek Track Club for 9 years, and was the head coach of the Huskie Track Club for 10 years. He is a USATF Level I certified coach.
